fender highway one stratocaster

Model Fender Highway One Stratocaster

Intro introduced in July 2006, updated on the Highway One Stratocaster Fender Start is less expensive American made, and as such is much touted as an obvious answer for those looking for a guitarist American quality at a reasonable price.

Guitar some good sports facilities - including a number of suped-up "hot" microphones Singlecoil (reverse wound / reverse polarity middle position), a nitro lacquer finish, and Greasebucket Fender tone circuit - even if I think there are some problems with the design as well.

While the Highway One Stratocaster is sure a perfect fit for many guitarists, especially those subject to high gain of chaos (the microphones sounds phenomenal with a little exaggeration) I must say that I played for three guitars weren t consider this "very comfortable in the department of the neck.

·         Glasses

·         Alder body

·         Maple neck (modern C-shaped)

·         W/22 rosewood or maple neck, jumbo frets (9.5 "radius)

·         A trio of hot Singlecoil Start pickups w / Alnico 3 magnets

·         Greasebucket bridge circuit Tone and neck pickups

·         Master volume knob and 5-via microphone

·         Vintage Style Synchronized Tremolo, and Fender / Ping tuners standards

·         3-ply parchment pickguard, fat 70-style headstock and body shape original

Satin Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish Guitar (without poles here!) Available in Honey Blonde (shown), Sunburst Flat Black Transparent Wine, Daphne Blue, and 3-Color.

What I liked Nice, nice finish ... In my experience people have never played the true start to finish nitrocellulose underestimate its impact on the tone and sustain, but to my ears Nitro finished guitar sounds richer, more nuanced sound, and only a little 'of determination. For example, when a hot alnico 3 single coils strictly pop, and pushing the sounding tube amp, or is pumped to a nice high-gain distortion pedal, I noticed that the clean tone lacked the warmth in a vintage style single- coil - not a big deal for someone who wants to push a heavy boot torn area, but failure can be for those who want the old school ST squawk.

Tuners work, too, and of course the Highway One has a large doll style size 70 - a feature that you can love or hate, but I personally could go either way. Now, make no mistake - as I always emphasize in my opinion, the shape of the neck and the comfort is very subjective and each guitar has a different font size, the preference of different neck profile and a different style of play - but this said, modern maple C-shaped neck on the path of a point (version 2006) is one of the most uncomfortable I've ever met ... and if you follow this blog know, I have played many Strats lately.

In an attempt to completely fair, I played in three of these guitars during the review process (if I had stumbled upon lemon), but I mostly take the motorway A strategy for the neck / keyboard / fret combination was basically this: the slow, sticky, and a little 'difficult to play.

The last word on all the griping aside, though, Highway One Stratocaster guitar features a series of excellent tries plus for American made start at a reasonable price, even if some of the tradeoffs that must be taken into consideration.

Fans of the mega-big band and big, fat neck could fall in love with the instrument as well as those who tend to travel in high-gain area.

Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster

The first was Eric Clapton Stratocaster. Fender Clapton had asked to make a guitar with the distinctive V-shaped sleeve of his favorite acoustic guitar Martin 1930, and what he described as a "compressed" pick-up. Several prototypes were built by George Blanda Fender, and the final design may be for sale to the public in 1988.

The Fender Stratocaster, often referred to as "Start", is a model of electric guitar designed by Leo Fender George Fullerton and Freddie Tavares in 1954, and continuously manufactured by Fender Musical Instruments Corporation today. With the Gibson Les Paul, Gibson SG and Fender Telecaster guitar is one of the most common and durable power in the world. The single layer, 8-bolt white hole puncher is a unique concept that allows the assembly of all electronic components except the removal of Jack plates in one set can be removed. Later designs Stratocaster (both Fender and imitators) may or may not have improved on the original in usability and sound, but vintage Fender models still often worth large amounts of money, and many prefer the timbre of the older models.

Fender 1985-1998

When the Fender company was bought by CBS in 1985 by Bill Schultz, manufacturing resumed its former high quality and Fender was able to regain market share and brand reputation. This triggered a rise in popularity for current vintage (and vintage) instruments. Dan Smith, with the help of John Page, continued to work on a remake of the era's most popular guitars of Leo Fender. They decided to produce two models Vintage Stratocaster reissue, a 1957 and a maple neck rosewood fingerboard maple neck Telecaster 1962 with 1952, the maple neck and rosewood fingerboard 1957 1962 Precision Bass, rosewood fingerboard and "stacked button" 1962 Jazz Bass. In 1985, Fender has resumed production American Vintage reissue in a new factory in Corona, located about 20 miles from Fullerton.

A Fat Strat is a name for a design of electric guitars that are based on the Fender Stratocaster, but have a hot humbucking pickup at the bridge position instead of a single-coil pickup. Features: 2003 Fat Strat, 21 frets, artic white, white pickguard, ash body, rosewood fretboard, strat-style bridge, one humbucker, two single coils, gigbag and strap.
Sound: I play mostly classic rock, and it works great! The single coils work well for clear, non-distorted sounds. It has a huge variety of sounds. It's great with any music. Action, Fit & Finish: Perfect set-up. Action was low, no fret buzz though. Whatever works. Price paid: $ 499
The pickups are 2 ceramic single coils and a hot humbucker from Fender. The humbucker allows for classic rock, heavy metal, thrash metal(Sepultura anyone), and other types of rock. It's a very sturdy guitar. The only thing that'll definitely wear out overtime is the floyd, but any guitar with a floyd will wear out and need repairs overtime.

The Fender "Strat" - The Ultimate Electric Guitar?

Is the "Stratocaster", Leo Fenders concept of a "working man's" instrument, the ultimate electric guitar? Just consider the roster of players: Buddy Holly, Hank Marvin, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Mark Knopfler, George Harrison, Bob Dylan and that's just a tiny number of "names". So Why nearly sixty years since it's introduction is the Fender Stratocaster still the most popular electric guitar in the world? (And the most copied!)

The Origins of the Strat are well known, it's inventor Leo Fender couldn't play guitar but had an inate understanding of the needs (and the problems) of working musicians. Leo had already introduced the Broadcaster/Telecaster in 1949/1950 and it was dismissed in some quarters as an "electric plank!" Leo was undeterred by the elitist attitudes of many and its initially poor sales.

The popularity of the instrument soon began to grow, it's space age look and name, it's blend of traditional and new materials were all major factors but it's subsequent enormous popularity is harder to pin down. It was a classic case of zeitgeist where mass production, innovative design and the parallel rise in the popularity of rock n' roll all came together, the Strat was no longer a tool but perhaps also a cultural weapon! It was cool, sexy and ever so slightly phallic (all factors that did not escape Jimi Hendrix!)

The truth is the Fender Stratocaster was and is hugely iconic, it oozes Rock N' Roll cred. More, much more then the right haircut, shades or a leather jacket the "Strat" endures!

Fender Strat - A Piece of Magic

Many top guitarists of the past and present played Strats - Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Mayer, Buddy Guy, the list goes on and on. The Fender Strat gives you such originality while having that beautiful tonal sound no other guitar has.

The secret to that great sound that the Strats have is in the single coil pickups, the wood of the guitar and the way the body of the guitar is put together (2 sections). Although Strats are centered around a standard setup. There are lots of additional models that slightly differ and in-turn slightly change the sound of the guitar. If you desire a sound from one of these top quality guitarist than you can have it by buying a signature model which emulates the exact sound that artist has.

Collecting Vintage Guitars As an Investment Strategy

By Robert Meyer

Just about every guitar player around wants to pick up a fine vintage instrument. Vintage guitars are a great investment that only increases in value.

Vintage guitars have consistently performed with more stability than the stock market. There are a number of reasons that collecting vintage guitars is an excellent strategy.

Guitars also don't lose value over time. If you're a musician as well as an investor, you'll appreciate the superior action and tone of a real vintage instrument. The most popular vintage guitar with collectors is probably the Gibson Les Paul.

Gibson invented the modern electric guitar, and in the 1960s, the Les Paul was one of the best instruments available. CF Martin is yet another of the great vintage guitar brands.

Some of the original Martin guitars are now nearly a hundred years old. Collectible CF Martin guitars are valuable up through the 1960s models. Guild guitars are great vintage instruments, too, but they're a lot less famous. Older Guild instruments are very rare, and considered on par with Martin guitars of the same period. Even if you just like the look of a beautiful old guitar, think about purchasing a vintage one. It has a lot of useful information about vintage guitars and also a great selection of vintage guitars for sale.

Are you looking to purchase a bargain bucket stratocaster guitar without breaking the bank?

Or how about buying your kid brother, or sister for that matter these days their very first guitar - think how proud they would be if you bought them one of the great names from guitar history, their very own Fender Stratocaster guitar! What a great gift idea!

How can I afford a Fender Stratocaster guitar? The Fender Stratocaster guitar that likely you need to be thinking about buying are the one's name Squier Stratocasters. The hierachy of Fender Stratocasters guitars is first the American Standard, followed by the Fender mexican Standard, after which there is the Squier Standard Stratocaster, then the Squier Affinity Strat and last but not least, the Squier Bullet. To make things more confusing, the Squier line of Stratocasters come in 3 sub-models. It's amazing what some people will try to sell these for on Ebay but you should be able to find a very nice used Squier Standard on Ebay for between $120-$160 shipped.

The American models will have a 22 fret neck with a width of around 1.68" at the nut and most Mexicans will have a 21 fret neck with a 1.65" width at the nut. You can upgrade the pickups to American Series quality or better and end up with a really great guitar. The American models and some of the Mexican made special models can hold their values very well.

Fender American Telecaster and Stratocaster Review - Best of Old and New

By R. S. Rasnick

Never ones to rest on the past, Fender has actively interviewed a wide variety of players to see how Fender could build even better musical instruments. Fender sagely chose to retain the ingredients of their instruments that plainly didn't need changing. Still present are the Micro-Tilt neck, two point vibrato (honestly, a vast improvement over vintage designs), the four-bolt neck, 22 fret necks, 9.5" fretboard radius, and DeltaTone circuit. The recent design also includes vintage-style bent steel saddles, which aid in capturing the classic vintage Strat tone. Likewise, the Telecaster experienced superb upgrades as well, including a redesigned bridge.

fender mexican strat

fender mexican strat [review]

The Mexican strats are a bit cheap here and there but overall there great for the price. I so often read how these pickups suck so i replaces them and now it sounds great! dont get me wrong, I love well made consistant sounding pickups but there is noting realy wrong with mexican pickups. you can take these mexican pickups as ill talk about only now and take the two ceramic bar magnets off and slip cylinder magnets right in the holes with anlico 2/5/8. this should mellow things out you would think and make it a premium pickup especialy if you pot the pickup to reduce unwanted microphonic feedback. some people will say the stock pickups are bright/sterile and thin. I then took off one of the two bar magnets and now i have mellow sounding pickups that dont pull too much at the strings but when cranked, have a real nice bluesy sound.. Yep the vintage guys freak when i play this thing and say it sounds GREAT! My advice,, just plug your guitar in and play play play! try new pickups and configurations and play.

Comments about Fender Mexican Stratocaster: (no quality rating entered) back to the mexican strat, I've got one on the wall here. The finish is real nice. the tuners work very well. Overall Opinions of Fender Mexican Stratocaster:

Strat Fender Is A Thing Of Dreams

By Eri Ibrahim

The very first guitar I ever played was a Candy Apple Red Fender Stratocaster. The Fender Stratocaster was the guitar of choice for these incredible guitar players and many more.

Fender offers the same pickups played by Jimmy Hendrix, or Eric Clapton. Probably the best way to play the same guitar as your guitar heroes is to purchase their signature model. Fender has signature models available for Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Robert Cray, Robin Trower, Rory Gallagher, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Guy, Yngwie Malmsteen, Eric Johnson and more.

Strat's are best known for their warm unique tone, but not all Strat's are created equally.

The Makings of a Fender Sunburst Electric Guitar

By Karen Strutt

In 1954 the guitar manufacturer Fender, produced its first Straocaster Sunburst electric guitar, also referred to as the Strat. The Fender Stratocaster Sunburst electric guitar was a huge success. As a cost cutting exercise, from the early 1960s Fender has continued to produce Sunburst guitars from two colors only. Fender achieved their Sunburst finish with the following process. The image of Jimi Hendrix will be forever associated with the Fender Strat Sunburst electric guitar.

Fender Stratocaster

By Leo Fullerton

The Fender Stratocaster, more commonly referred to as the Strat is one of the most famous guitars. There have actually been several variations upon the original Fender Stratocaster. The original guitar was a two color sun burst finish that made it really shocking to look at. While many of the newer Fender models may have improved on the sound quality and musical ability that the guitar can handle, the vintage Fender Stratocaster guitars still fetch a pretty penny.
The New Fender Stratocaster

By Payo W Perry

There's little doubt that the Fender Stratocaster has long since secured its fame and glory as an icon among electric guitar design. Most reviews of the new Stratocasters are glowing with musicians saying they are well built and utterly playable instruments.

There's a new bridge which houses improved saddles and the block is now copper infused which results in extended sustain and an over all improved tone. The neck was also looked at in this latest review with Fender opting for a tint treatment and as usual it's buffed to a high gloss finish.

Fender and development of electric guitar

Fender recognized the potential for an electric guitar that was easy to hold, easy to tune, and easy to play. Esquire

Fender supported the Esquire name, saying that it "sounded regal and implied a certain distinction above other guitars."

Broadcaster

"Broadcaster" becomes "Telecaster"

Fender sold 87 Broadcasters on the guitar's initial release in January 1951. For several months, the new twin-pickup guitars were marked only with the word "Fender." Electric bass guitar

With the Precision Bass (or "P-Bass"), released in 1951, Leo Fender addressed both of these issues. Along with the Precision Bass (so named because its fretted neck allowed bassists to play with 'precision'), Fender introduced a bass amplifier, the Fender Bassman; a 45 watt amplifier with four 10" speakers. 1960 saw the release of the Jazz Bass, a sleeker, updated bass with a slimmer neck, and offset waist body and two single coil pickups (as opposed to the Precision Bass and its split-humbucking pickup that had been introduced in 1957). G&L guitar designs tended to lean heavily upon the looks of Fender's original guitars such as the Stratocaster and Telecaster, but incorporated innovations such as enhaced tremolo systems and electronics. Despite suffering several minor strokes, Leo Fender continued to produce guitars and basses. The company which bears his name, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, is now one of the largest musical instrument conglomerates in the world.
