The amp I purchased was model new however I received them to decrease the value by bi--hin' for awhile. The amp has implausible cleans. However the distortion is de facto solely good for blues and does not do this too properly either. Fortunately I mainly play the blues in order that's why I purchased this amp. If you want to play metal or something with heavier distortion you definetly want a pedal. I have a DS-1 however that doesn't throw out quite as a lot distortion as I would like so I'd recommend a tube screamer for blues arduous rock, or a metal pedal for steel (your preference). It has 3 channels one labeled clear and the others are drive and more drive. With technical investigation though I found it is really just one channel and the drive and extra drive capabilities simply drive preamp tubes loud sufficient to distort (don't be concerned the master quantity brings down the quantity so you don't blow out the home).

The downfall of that is that their is only one equalizer for all three channels and you may't switch from a bassy sound to a trebly distort with no altering the equalizer or utilizing a pedal (buy one!) It has an effects loop which you have to for all you pedals. I solely wish this amp had better distortion that may make it perfect. The reverb is a little bit over the top past 7 (all of the knobs go to 12). Turning it past this and it becomes undesirable to play with (imo). At 7 although it may well simulate the slap again echo on Jimi Hendrix's Crimson House (this amp nails that tone almost excellent).

I take advantage of this amp all over the place, in my room and on stage. The clean tone breaks up around three however thats loud enough for most gigs actually(and with some mods you may give it extra headroom). It may be too loud for room apply at about half of a quantity incriment. Although it goes up to twelve it isn't all that tremendously loud. 7 and twelve are almost the same. Don't worry it is still a lot loud. This amp is all tube and has 4 ten inch speakers wich give it nice sound quality. But for even higher sound you may swap in some new tubes and speakers (you will want to re-bias in the event you change tubes).

Sound: I play a Strat with single coils and it gives off a classic blues sound. Their are higher sounding amps however not for the value I paid. It goes with my favorite styles blues and rock. But I also play excessive achieve metal and punk (Slayer, Leftover Crack) and it doesn't do those in any respect with out a pedal (do I even have to say it?) It may be pretty noisy at excessive positive aspects however that comes extra from my guitar (the piece of s--t). It can make any model of blues by itself and with a couple of pedals you will get anything. Be warned: this amp could be very bass heavy (which is usually a good thing). The amp distorts at three but it surely's a pleasant bluesy distort. This is sufficient though considering 2 hurts my ears. Plus with some modes (simply changing the tubes is one) you can carry up your headroom drastically (louder clean tone earlier than it distorts). Unfortunately the distortion purrs as an alternative of roars. (buy the f--king pedal already!) I give this a five primarily based on the clean tone not the distortion

Fender Standard Series Of Guitars
By Blair Stephens

The Fender American Standard series of guitars features both Telecaster and Stratocasters, the legends of the Fender name. Refinements include changes to some, but not all models of the guitars allowing musicians to select the guitar that best suits their playing style. The first major electric guitar designed and produced by Leo Fender, the Fender Telecaster was introduced in the 1940's. The bridge pickup of the Telecaster is wound more than the pickup for the neck with emphasizes the treble tone and the slanted neck also gives a more treble sound while the lower tones are dampened. A versatile instrument musicians can use the controls for volume and tone to craft their own sound. Overall, the Stratocaster is a more complicated instrument with three single coil pickups which increases the tone and overall sound of the guitar. The addition of the Fender vibrato bridge allowed musicians to bend the strings to achieve a sound similar to the popular pedal-steel instruments. Creating the Fender Sound

The electric guitar was brought to life with the invention of the single coil pickup. A single coil pickup is created by wrapping a permanent magnet with fine enameled copper and then mounting the coil on the body of the guitar. In the Stratocaster there are three standard single coil pickups mounted in series for the bridge middle and neck. Electronic guitars rely on single coil magnetic pickups to 'pick up' and convey the alternated voltage created by the vibrating strings to create music. Using the tone controls to determine which pickups are featured gives musicians control over their sound. The latest generation of guitars to be embraced by musicians, the American Standard series features both Stratocaster and Telecaster guitars from legendary Fender. The most affordable line of Fender guitars, The American Standard Series brings everything you expect from the Fender name without compromise.

What Are The Pros And Cons Of Fender Brand Guitars?

By: Kyle Hoffman

nder is a guitar company with decades of experience as a trusted business for hundreds of nationally touring guitarists. Check out the positive things that Fender-made guitars can bring to your music experience.

Fender electric guitars tend to build instruments with thinner necks to lure younger musicians with smaller-sized hands and fingers. If you want a little more rounded attack on stage, Fender guitars can provide that due to their strong mid-range tone. It's this extra push in the middle of the tone spectrum that makes Fender a very versatile type of guitar.

Go run, jump, and throw a few guitar whips, and you shouldn't feel a bulky guitar is weighing you down.

Considering that Fender creates guitars with a boost in the middle of the tone spectrum, they tend to lack in the bass end. Check out some metal-style guitars if you're looking for more frets to rock out on.

If you're looking for a guitar that plays well for fast fingers with a light touch, get a feel for some other guitar brands first.

Fender brand electric guitars will probably never be taken off the music store shelves, but they're really not for everyone.

Without a doubt, Fender guitars are the top-of-the-line in guitars. From the beginning, it was company owner Leo Fender's main goal to fender guitars the best as possible. This guitar, like many Fender guitars that would follow, was the first of its kind. Slowly and with assurance the company rebuilt its reputation in the amplifier and guitar industry. They also continued the company's dedication to customize guitars.

When people think of Fender guitars they often think of electric guitars. The Fender Musical Instruments Corporation also produces a good stock of reputable acoustic guitars. Reviewing Fender Guitars

For many years the guitar legend Eric Clapton was a die hard Gibson guitar fan. That was until the company discontinued his favorite Gibson guitar. Clapton finally discovered love in the land of Fender guitars. It was 50 years ago that Fender introduced the American Telecaster into its line of electric guitars.

A Closer Look at the Fender Guitar Amplifier
By Brian Garvin and Jeff

Different amplifiers suit different speaker designs. Technology changed and amplifiers that are more powerful were developed. Technological developments have seen higher capacity guitar amplifiers being introduced. The hybrid guitar amplifier has indeed revolutionized the music industry. Home player guitars use digital modeling amplifiers. The Fender super champ guitar combo is an example of a digital modeling amplifier. It produces great output in terms of sound quality. The other type of Fender Guitar Amplifier that is in common use today is the Cyber twin amplifier. This amplifier is combined with the Vox Valvetronix guitar to produce amazing sounds. Modern amplifiers have greater capacity to create additional sounds as you play. Newer Fender Guitar Amplifier models are very useful in live and studio recording performance.

Learning the Electric Guitar - Gibson Vs Fender - Which One?
By Justin Isaacs

The process of deciding which electric guitar to get can be overwhelming so I plan to give some insight by comparing two of the most popular guitars out there: the Gibson Les Paul Standard and the Fender Stratocaster.

An absolutely drop dead gorgeous guitar the Les Paul has a carved maple top, trapezoid inlays and comes in colors such as Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Desert Bust and a variety of other colors. It comes with Burstbucker pro pickups, rosewood fingerboard, tune-o-matic bridge and gold top hat knobs. This guitar also has a seriously powerful tone and it can scream with ease. The Strat was made famous by Jimi Hendrix who completely changed the way the guitar was played. The Strat comes with 3 single coil pickups, 2 tone knobs and 1 volume knob.

What's So Important About the Guitar Bridge? By Jason C Diggs

The strings need the ability for the sound to be transmitted to a larger surface area that then sounds the volume into the air which in turn produces louder sounds. Typically it is placed perpendicular to the strings and larger surface. Electric guitars in particular have two main groups of bridges. The non-tremolo bridge supplies a secure point for the strings but don't give any real control over the pitch or tension of the strings.

Resurgence

In the 1990 popularity of Jaguar & Jazzmaster exploded when they saw heavy use various alternative rock and grunge bands like Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr and Nirvana.

One reason for the Jaguar became so very popular among indie rock because of its capacity 3 bridges. Jaguar and Jazzmaster, both accidentally created, primitive 3 bridges in the mechanism of their floating bridge with limited timbre when used in larger vehicles. * Kurt Cobain used a modified 1965 Jaguar Sunburst finish with a Gibson Tune-O-Matic bridge, and pickups modified scheme. Full-size pickups reside in both neck and bridge position, neck and a DiMarzio PAF bridge DiMarzio Super Distortion, while in round Utero, when it was replaced with a black Duncan JB.

* John Frusciante of Red Hot Chili Peppers used a red Jaguar in the 1962 Fiesta Vudstotsi Festival 1999 part-time group at the center stage. John played the turquoise ocean on JAG very popular video for the song "Under The Bridge".
Jaguar also dohodzhayuchy among players with small hands. Jaguar and Mustang are two guitars in the Fender list short (24 inches) length scale and thin neck.

Playability - What to Look for in a New Guitar

Playability
How to play the instrument to determine your happiness with it. You can have a guitar that makes the most beautiful voice, but you like to play it. It is said that the perfect guitar would be like an extension of your body. I have found this true with the number 1 ax. Every time I pick it up and play, it felt like a natural extension of my body.

After you select the guitar that you want to tone, play and see if the frets right. If the strings are too high, adjust the torque rod and intonation. This alone can make a difference in the guitar world. If you do not know how to adjust this, contact your local guitar shop. The cost is usually not more than $ 15 and takes about 30 minutes to do so.

Think about it before you buy a first guitar or the next. Maybe save a lot of headaches and money in the long run. Because if you do not think small things could only play into the mood effects when you play on stage or when you exercise the more fatal even when the guitar was used for recording.

Jaguar and Jazzmaster Review

www.FenderJaguar.com History of the Fender Jaguar

Fender Jaguar stock bridge is a common cause of problems for the new Jaguar owners, there are various solutions to various problems that may be encountered. Common Problems
1/ The bridge rattles and buzzes
2/ The grub screws work themselves loose
3/ The bridge moves back and forth
4/ The bridge slips down during playing
5/ The intonation screws are too long
6/ The strings jump on the saddles

At this point its worth considering a few things about the Jaguar. Fixing the bridge may jeopardise the tremolos performance, the guitars tuning AND you may encounter excessive string breakage.

It screws into the tremolo tailpiece and work on the principle of improving the string buzz corner of the bridge to reduce the pressure increase. 4/ The grub screws on the two bridge posts can also work themselves loose with vibration, this means the bridge slips lower over a period of time with guitar constantly going out of tune.
The solution is the same as with the saddle grub screws.
So that the saddle looks a little like a Mustang saddle.

Another common solution is to fit a Fender Mustang bridge, but some players still experience problems afterwards. That aside, the Jaguar bridge is a better bridge in respect it offers a lot more adjustability.
