tubes amp

Your tube amp is vital to keep your acoustics running smooth and sounding great. There are a few things some individuals do which may cost them a pocketful relating to caring for these amplifiers. A variety of tips should be stored in thoughts to ensure that your machine is saved in nice situation as well as to avoid costly repairs or even replacements.

There ought to be proper matching when it comes to your speakers and your amplifier; that is extremely necessary and isn't one thing to test around. If you do not match your speaker together with your amplifier, it can cause your piece of equipment to stop performing at an early stage. There are those that are more delicate - this all depends upon what model you are using.

Issues akin to these could be prevented while you use an ohms scale when measuring the voltage. Frequent problems are that faulty meters are inclined to measure on the low side. Doing this helps measure the impedance of your cabinet to see in the event that they match the speaker it's wired to.

If you are having issues understanding the idea of the voltage meters, it is suggested that you consult with an expert or have your tube amp providers by your local vendor who may be providing services equivalent to these. Your amplifier may start to decrease its sound quality on account of put on and tear; this might also be a superb time to call a professional.

An previous tube amp may not give out the most effective sound quality. All this would require is a power-tube replacement. Along with this, you would need to buy a drive-tube alternative; these two go hand-in-hand and cannot be achieved separately. It is strongly recommended that you simply do this over buying a new amplifier as it's the cheaper alternative.

Tube-Sockets might endure from over-use; it is because they are linked to the a part of the amplifier experiencing essentially the most voltage. Sockets which aren't pinned correctly or securely may cause interruption from the speaker and the amplifier connection. In case you notice that this socket is starting to corrode, replace it right away!

To keep your tube amp in top situation, you need to take good care of it and measure its ohms on a daily basis. There are some things you are able to do earlier than and after use to make sure that your amplifier runs properly; this can save you some huge cash in the long run!

Fender Squier Strat Guitar Parts

The Fender Squier Strat (a.k.a. HM or Heavy Metal Strat) was popularized in the late 80s, early 90s and typically featured a Dimarzio humbucker pickup in the bridge position – a deviation from the typical thin single pickup. It also featured a Kahler tremolo with a locking nut. The tremolo did have some issues, namely with fine tuning. The other popular locking nut tremolo/whammy bar on the Squier Strat was the Floyd Rose. The humbucking pickup on the Squier strat produces a nice rough sound and is well suited to chainsaw and revving effects when used in combination with heavy distortion and or overdrive effects. The single coil pickups offer the familiar bright clean sound stratocasters are known for.

Fender Stratocaster Parts

Parts for the Fender Stratocaster Series are not too hard to come by on the auction sites, with good availability generally and reasonable closing prices at auction.  Competition for parts can be pretty fierce though given that the bid count on most auctions runs up into the teens typically (see current auctions below).

Typical Fender Stratocaster parts you might find on auction are pick-guards, electronics, wiring manuals, and hardware.  High competition amongst sellers tends to keep pricing and delivery terms reasonable – your only issue in buying will tend to be some competition from other bidders – given the popularity of the Fender Stratocaster brand and the fairly easy repair.

The Fender Stratocaster Story

Irrespective of time, place or anything, whenever people talk about guitars, be it anywhere in the world, the name Fender Stratocaster inevitably creeps in.

Among the notable features of the vintage strat model, was its body which used to be carved out of a single piece ash wood which was replaced with alder after a few years. However experts still credit the ash body Stratocaster for the rich "signature" fender sound. Moreover due to the difference of the grain of the wood, the ash and alder models differ in weight as well as appearance owing to the finishing touches given to the sunburst bodies. It is all about the use of nails temporarily to support the body of the guitar while paint and other finishing touches were applied to it. It was a total combination of all these that made Stratocaster gently weep in George Harrison's arms.

Guitar Headstocks - It's All About the Style

By Victor Epand

As mentioned, the main purpose of a guitar headstock is to hold the strings of the instrument. Headstocks are outfitted with multiple machine heads (or turners, gear heads or tuning machines) to which the strings are attached, the ratio being one string per head. The desired layout of the machine heads and the shape of the headstock (more on this later) are directly linked.

The configuration of the headstock in relation to the guitar's neck comes in two styles: straight and angled. Angled headstocks, on the other hand, form an acute angle of varying degrees with the guitar's neck. Different guitar manufacturers are renowned for using different angles on different models, and each maintains that their angle produces optimum results.

In addition to their substantive qualities, headstocks also provide a convenient palette upon which guitar manufacturers can advertise. Companies like Fender, Gibson, ESP and Richenbacker all use signature outlines for their various guitar headstocks.

fender neck

Although the early Fender necks may appear to be natural in color and yellowed by the aging of the nitrocellulose lacquer coat (the very early necks show a slight red tint) they are in fact tinted with a lacquer based dye sprayed as a shader coat. The two part application of Fender Neck Amber and clear coating will replicate the finish.

(Note that the Neck Amber aerosol is a dye mixture in solution.
First remove and strip the neck. Once stripped, lightly sand the neck. For necks the red nozzle with its narrower spray width seems the better suited). Let the first coat dry about thirty minutes before spraying the second. The sealer coats will prevent the color coat from going into the wood. Before coloring the neck make a few practice passes on a piece of scrap wood similar to the neck wood. Two nozzles are provided with the Neck Amber Aerosol. I prefer the red tip for spraying necks. Use the fan tip for spraying a body. Spray the first few coats from a distance of about 18 to 24 inches. These coats and all following coats should be sprayed lightly. If the color is too light shoot one or two more coats of color until it appears correct. (Sandwiching the color between clear coats will cause no problems in that the subsequent clear coats will melt the lower coats of clear and color together). With the color acceptable the clear coating can be completed.

Determination Tone

This is probably one of the most important thing to see in a guitar. Whether you're playing electric or acoustic, country, rock, blues, or jazz, you must have the appropriate tone with the music genre. You will not want to play the perfect guitar for country music in a heavy metal band. The guitar has a tone that is right for you? Tone includes determining the flow of the music we play, with the tone of your guitar has a distinctive tone to deliver a message to the audience listeners.

Blues

If you play blues, you need a guitar that has a blues tone. That being said, there are some guitars that are suitable for the style: Semi-acoustic electric guitar with a "soap box" humbuckers sound great, like the Fender Stratocaster. Another important thing to achieve is a string blues tone. In the blues, the heavier the string, the better the sound. You can not achieve the proper sound use extra light gauge strings. They will not have the resonance, the lower or middle range of the heavier strings.

Also playing electric guitar blues, your amplifier will make a difference in tone. If you are using vintage amplifiers, tube amp better, you'll see a BIG difference nada.Blues identical to the game despite having likely free style of each game as a guitar player. many things to be found in determining the tone.

Country

Country music needs a brighter tone than the electric guitar. To get a light tone, it is best to use a guitar with single coil pickups. Two of the best guitar for this category is the Fender Stratocaster and Fender Telecaster. Using the Tele, it is easy to enter and play really. In the Beginning, there was a secret that many guitarists do not know that I will share with you.

Many Nashville guitarist called 'Nashville Sound'. Simply put your toggle switch all the way to the bridge pickup. Then start sliding back to the next position to the neck. The bridge between the position and the second position, you will find a sweet spot. The switch will not be locked into place at both the pickup but the sound is awesome. It only takes one minute to find it and when you do, sounds incredible.

Once again, the amplifier plays a big key to the electric guitar sound, too. Many musicians use a Peavey Classic Nashville VT / Series Tube amplifier or newer Peavey Classic. Behringer also make a big amplifier used in country music. Back to issue pickup, single coil once a very important role for the flow needs of this country. Clear sound and comfortable in the ear, you just try to do with your guitar playing on this type of flow, is terrific.

Jazz

For the jazz guitarist, both semi-acoustic electric guitar is almost essential. The pickups on this guitar are usually humbuckers. To tone, a medium size set of string is recommended.

As the amplifier far away, almost every 'natural' sound amplifier will work. My personal recommendation Mesa Boogie or Peavey. They create a good sound. But for any single coil is represented once for jazz guitarists who want to relax jazz style.

Rock

Last but not least, let us look at the rock and roll. Getting the right tone for rock and roll is difficult. Maybe you want a heavy sound standard 6 string can not give you so that you get a 7 string guitar. The best 7 string guitar made by Ibanez. Since conception in the late 80's or early 90's, Ibanez has perfected the tone of the instrument.

If you do not want a 7 string but want the same tone, you can get the same tone of the 6 string using heavy gauge strings. Humbucker pickup guitars have to get a better tone, too. Guitar recommended for this is the Les Paul Gibson and Ibanez. It is for single coil is not suitable to be used for lack of a sound amplifier on, for the present type of flow is still forward rock humbucker pickups ..

For more modern styles of rock 40, the sound will change. To hear the sound of retro in a lot of alternative music now, Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster used. Sometimes, Fender Jaguars to play too. For heavier sound, you'll need a guitar with two humbuckers and probably the best guitar for this Gibson Les Paul and Paul Red Smith.

To get the tone on the amplifier, it is important to have a good tube or solid state amplifier that can model tube amp. Mesa Boogie has a leading edge on the tone of rock music as well as Marshall. Another good amplifier made by Peavey, Crate, Behringer, and Fender.

Custom, Hand Made Jaguar,Mustang Bridge Instalation Guide By Mastery

Mastery Bridge lets your Fender® Jazzmaster®, Jaguar®, Mustang®, Bass VI®, Telecaster® with Bigsby® Vibrato & amp Jag-Stang guitar perform like you always wished it would.

The patent-pending Mastery Bridge is crafted and assembled in Minneapolis, MN, using the finest materials available. Every part of our bridge is made of the highest quality, non-corrosive materials to protect against any rust. For easy installation instructions, please check out our step-by-step installation guide here.

A Mastery Bridge saddle being hand-crafted on our lathe.
MOUNTING POSTS

Unlike the previous "rock post assembly" design, the mounting posts on the Mastery Bridge fit snug into the diameter of vintage and modern Fender®-style thimbles, ensuring your bridge will not change position during performance or between string changes.

A close up of a completed saddle.

Since the installation of the stock body thimbles can slightly vary from guitar-to-guitar, we've made our posts adjustable and removable via a vented 6-32 button head screw. The head screw contains a 1/16" hole (the "vent"), allowing internal access to the adjustable bass/treble height screws.
BASE

Our uniquely designed base is CNC laser-cut from a 304 solid stainless steel sheet and break-formed to the specified profile. We then tumble them in a coarse media to de-burr and break all the sharp edges, which is followed by a tumbling in a finer media that results in a clean, finished satin polish.

Our unique brass saddle being drilled out. The holes you see are where the intonation adjustment screws will connect to the stainless steel swivels.
SADDLES

Each saddle features two drop-in stainless swivels, permitting each of the four individual intonation adjustment screws to work independently for precise intonation. The deep saddle string grooves ensure that your strings will never "pop-out" during performance and are slightly fanned out, allowing you to intonate your guitar to nearly any common string gauge. The saddles even accommodate Bass VI® model guitars and can be used on left-handed guitars as easily as right-handed. This also eliminates annoying "buzzing" or rattle associated with previous designs.

The Mastery Bridge's four individual intonation adjustment screws work independently for precise intonation; allowing the string to pass from the saddle to the vibrato sans interference.
Hard Chrome Plated Saddles

Although much more expensive to manufacture than "decorative chrome" found on previous bridges, the Mastery Bridge saddle's hard chrome plating aids in lubricity while tuning or actuating the vibrato, ensuring years of consistent performance and accuracy.
HARDWARE

The springs are made from 302 solid stainless steel.

Bridge/saddles

The bridge height adjustment screws are either nickel plated or stainless steel. On all the US reissue bridges, the saddles are nearly the same size thread (only a slight difference between the 11 thread treble saddles and 9 thread bass saddles).
