Jazz Bass Guitar Rhythm

By Or Keinan

Leo Fender, who is the founder of the Fender Electric Instrument Manufacturing Company, developed the bass guitar jazz, which is more commonly known as the jazz bass guitar. This remarkable bass guitar has a much louder and brighter tone than the original bass guitar has.

Fender introduced the J Bass guitar in 1960 thinking that the name would appeal to mainly the jazz musicians and encourage more bass players to switch to jazz music.

Normally the bass jazz body was created from either Alder or Ash, while Maple was used to create the neck. The bass jazz is ideal for either those individuals who enjoy finger playing or slap playing.

Not much more changed on the bass jazz until 2003 when a push button control was made available, which allowed the bass player to switch between pickups.
